Optioning of El Colorado artisanal high-grade gold mine concession together with the Cabeza Blanca historic artisanal high-grade gold mine – marks successful acquisition of all targeted Cerro Caliche concessions.

As director, Curtis Turner – former executive at Argonaut Gold, Yamana Gold and Meridian Gold - has extensive operations and project acquisitions' experience.

Appointed

Mining engineer, Jorge Diaz as VP of Operations. He brings with him a multi-decade history of directing mine development and operations for companies including Penoles, Lusmin, Eldorado Gold and Alamos Gold.

Name Change

Sonoro Metals Corp. changes name to Sonoro Gold Corp. to better reflect its principal activities of gold exploration and developing gold deposits to production.

Drilling Begins

Phase One deep high-grade gold exploration drilling underway in tandem with exploration and development drilling of the Cerro Caliche's 17 zones of potentially bulk-mineable shallow-oxide gold mineralization.

Initial Drill Results from High-Grade Gold Targets

Results from Phase One drilling of high-grade targets. While a secondary potential growth driver for Sonoro, it holds the potential to discover and define mineable zones of high-grade gold bearing vein systems at depth. Initial results from drilling the Cerro Caliche's 17 zones of shallow oxide gold mineralization.

The program is expected to upgrade and significantly increase Sonoro's current inferred resource* and is expected to support expansion of the planned heap leach mining operation.

Submit Applications to Semarnat

The submission to and subsequent approval by Semarnat of a detailed mining plan and environmental impact study are required to begin mining operations.

Q1 2021

Final Results from Phase One Drilling High-Grade Gold Targets

Will eliminate or confirm potential for developing high-grade gold zones below the project's 12 square km of shallow oxide gold mineralization.

Results from ~75 Shallow RC Holes

Drilled to further define the shallow oxide gold mineralization. Results will be used as the basis of a NI 43-101 compliant technical report which will quantify any significant increase in and upgrade of the current inferred resource.

NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Cerro Caliche Resource*

The results will be used as a basis of a NI 43-101 compliant preliminary economic assessment for the initial planned mining operation and later expansion.

Release of a NI 43-101 Compliant PEA

Will define the projected economic parameters of the planned heap leach mine and form part of a planned project debt financing initiative. The PEA will reflect ongoing metallurgical and advanced engineering which is intended to fast track the mine's development.

Q2 2021

Completion of Detailed Engineering and Completion of Project Debt Financing

The actual construction of the mine and acquisition of required equipment can start once the required mining licence and environmental approval is received.

Approved Mining License and Environmental Impact Statement

Construction of the mine can begin - a roughly 6-month process - this includes pre-stripping for mine pits together with haul road construction, crushing plant leach pad, pond and carbon absorption circuit installation or construction.
