Vancouver, Canada, April 7, 2014, Sonoro Metals Corp., (“Sonoro”) (TSXV: SMO), a precious metals exploration and development company, today announced the appointment of Kenneth MacLeod as a director, and as President and Chief Executive Officer, replacing Steve Kenwood, who has served as Interim President since 2011. Mr. Kenwood remains as a director and has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. MacLeod has over 30 years experience as an executive officer in the resource and energy sectors, having served as President, CEO and director of various public and private companies operating in the Americas, Asia and Africa. Recent activities include the launching and subsequent sale of a private Renewable Energy company operating in the Philippines. Mr. MacLeod was President & CEO of Western GeoPower Corp. from 2001 until its acquisition by Ram Power Corp. in 2009. In the mining sector, he was President & CEO of Kakanda Development Corp. from 1994 until 2001.

Sonoro has granted Mr. MacLeod 450,000 incentive stock options to purchase capital stock of the Company at a price of $0.10 per share for a period of five years under the stock option plan.
